Stoke College – a message from the head

Stoke College is open to children from Reception age and above. From 2017 it will have its own Sixth Form giving local parents the benefits of an independent education within easy access of home all the way through to university entrance age.

For families whose younger children attend Blois Meadow Day Nursery, we offer a minibus service from the nursery to the school for their older siblings to attend Stoke College.

Children at Stoke are busy and happy and they become confident in everything they do. They look forward to coming to school where learning is fun and everyone is valued. Each and every child in the school is taught according to their needs and abilities ensuring that their personal talents are nurtured and that they achieve at the highest possible level of which they are capable, not just in academic studies but in arts, technologies and sports, developing their communication and life skills at every stage of their education.

The school is refreshingly down-to-earth, the culture is non-elitist and unpretentious. At Stoke the end goal is to help produce self-confident, successful and capable young people.

“The overall academic and extra-curricular achievement of all pupils is excellent. The personal development of pupils is outstanding. They are well mannered, respectful of others and tolerant of difference.”

Independent Schools Inspectorate, 2012

An ‘Old Stokesian’ will also have a broad mind, a respect for others, a desire to make a positive contribution in all aspects of life, and a clear appreciation of the value of happy schooldays.

We hope during your children’s time at Blois Meadow Day Nursery that they may be able to visit Stoke College frequently to enjoy our grounds and facilities. If you would like to come and see the College for yourself please do get in touch.”
